Feb. 15, 2010 The Lions proved resilient yesterday afternoon in St-Hyacinthe as they rallied from an early 2 goal deficit to comeback and win 7-4. Travelling to College Antoine Girouard for the second time in two weeks, the Lions began on the wrong foot giving up 2 goals in the first 5 minutes of play. Coach Goyens rallied the troops during a timeout that seemed to have struck a chord as the Lions fired off 3 consecutive goals to end the first stanza with a 3-2 lead. Philip Zielonka began the onslaught with his seventh of the year with assists going to Alex Carrier and Sam Filion. Joseph Manno scored his first of 2 on the night on a feed from Marc Biega, while the resurgent Jordan Durand also scored his first of 2 on the night unassisted giving Jordan 4 goals in his last 3 games. Philip Zielonka's second of the night and Sam Filion's second of the year rounded out the scoring for the Lions. Steven Greenfield earned his 3rd win of the year turning aside 24 of 28 shots including a crucial penalty shot with just under 6 minutes remaining in the game. With the win the Lions climb ahead of College Esther Blondin into the 14th spot in the overall standings with just 2 games remaining in the regular season. The Lions end the regular season with a home stand vs Chateauguay on Friday night and College Charles Lemoyne on Sat night. Both games begin at 19:30 Friday nights contest versus Chateauguay should be an entertaining one as the Lions need to win to split the season series.
