March 10, 2010 Just twenty seven seconds into the first OT Joseph Manno seals a 4-3 win with a great individual effort to beat the Trois Rivieres goaltender over the glove side. After two periods the game was tied at 1 on a second period goal by Sam Filion, entering the crucial third period of game 4. The Lions came out roaring as Michael Matheson scored on a wrist shot from the blue line through a screen on the Lions only powerplay of the third period. Assists were awarded to Philip Zielonka (his second assist of the night) and Patrick Walsh. With the score tied at 2, the Lions continued to force the play culminating in a great individual effort by Matheson who had been recently moved to forward with the loss of Connor Gagnon due to a hitting from behind call. Matheson raced down the ice to chase a loose puck, out muscled the opponent before sliding it through the legs of Trois Rivieres goaltender Appleby, on a wraparound. Lions lead by 1, with 9 minutes remaining in the third stanza. With less than 4 minutes to play, Trois Rivieres is awarded a powerplay which they convert to tie the game at three. To overtime! Lions playing in their first overtime period of the playoffs make no mistake. Joseph Manno picked up a loose puck in his own end on the right side boards, skated across the length of the ice on a 1 on 2 with their defensemen, opting to go to the left side on his backhand, he split the defensemen and as he cut back towards the middle of the ice went back to his forehand and flipped the puck into the top corner over Appleby's left shoulder!
